Persistant Precipitation..............

Please can we have the dry weather back please, the persistant rain is just so depressing.......

The RSPB 2014 "Big Garden Birdwatch" results are in, the top ten birds seen in gardens this year are :-

1 House Sparrow
2 Blue Tit
3 Starling
4 Blackbird
5 Woodpigeon
6 Chaffinch
7 Goldfinch
8 Great Tit
9 Collared Dove
10 Robin

Bravo for the House Sparrow, never to be seen in my back garden, but there's usually 40 or 50 in the front garden, and thats despite having the same foods in both gardens.
Chaffinch, Goldfinch and Great Tit, only ever in the back garden, Gold Crest only ever in the front garden........
When we took part in this years survey we actually did seperate sessions for the front and back gardens, not strictly the way the survey was supposed to be conducted but we felt the Sparrows had to be represented.
