...she was young and charming

… and she still is – young at heart, charming and the life and soul of our choir. Here she is poised at the beginning of her career as a teacher.

It has been a life full of friends and family, music and laughter, raising her four children, fighting for teachers’ rights, opposition to the dictatorship, and the terrifying experience of her son being kidnapped and kept in captivity for weeks. More recently she fell into a deep depression, but with the help of her equally special husband and family, has come out the other side and is her smiling self again. A year ago, her husband had a botched knee replacement and only last week was he finally well enough for a new prosthesis. Through hell and high water they have stayed together and maintained their optimism and love of life.

She brought her album to choir last night and gave me the perfect blip opportunity.
