What a fast year that has been. Well, they do say time flies when you are having fun and we have had a lot of that with this happy little monkey in our lives.

Isaac at 1... He loves dancing, climbing, playing with his big sister, lift the flap books (Dear Zoo in particular) throwing and chasing balls and reaching out to touch the trees and bushes when he's on my back in the ergo. He is extremely cheeky with a mischievous glint in his eye (I saw this even before he started smiling!) He is so happy and he loves interacting with people - bringing a smile to everybody's face. No walking yet but he can crawl so fast and likes to put his head down to make himself more aerodynamic! He eats most food but his favourites are shepherds pie, chilli and baked potato with beans. He doesn't have many words but he can always make himself understood and he is very vocal. He loves doing the actions to "if you're happy and you know it" and dances and claps to "wind the bobbin up". He doesn't watch much television but Waybuloo is a favourite. He's still breastfed but has the occasional drink of cows milk which he also loves.

Happy Birthday baby boy!

We had a lovely day together today. Sadly Daddy was at work but Isaac was awake in time to open some presents before he had to leave. I took him to buy a balloon whilst Amelie was at nursery and we had a birthday tea of pizza and salad before we did the birthday cake. Granny and Papa watched and sang via skype. Amelie pretended to feed them cake through the laptop and Isaac joined in too - essentially throwing cake at the screen....
