Birchin Clough
Early start today, in fact ridiculously early, heading over to the north peak district.
At just after 8am I was booted up walking past Dovestone Reservoir to go up the valley and along the hilltop ridge. This shot is about 4 miles into the 10 mile walk, and the last climb taking you up to about 1800ft. Scrambling up this was a bit hairy to be honest after all the rain recently (to give an idea of scale the boulder on the right is about 5ft high). Although not quite as hairy as then walking 5 miles along the ridge, with an 800ft drop, in a wind that literally stopped me in my tracks when it gusted!
Amazing views but this was the last shot I got due to constant fine drizzly rain coming in. Great way to clear out the head though :-)
