Deancombe Farm

This is in the immediate catchment area for Burrator Reservoir and is one of several farms which were forcibly evacuated when the reservoir was built to provide freshwater for Plymouth. The houses were small with the outbuilding very close by. Now there are just bits of walls remaining. Immediately around them are the fields they farmed - clearly marked with stone wall. Life was different and very hard in those days!
