Clearing dad's room

Having phoned the undertakers, mum and I can't do anything else today apart from going to the nursing home and clear dad's room. The hooks on the wall behind are where dad's photographs used to hang.

It wasn't a long task, but tough because of the steady stream of nurses. carers and even chefs who came to pass on their condolences and give us a hug.

We decided to hold the wake at the nursing home, an unusual choice but they all deserved to say goodbye to dad properly as they'd cared for him for so long. I agreed to provide wine, so will make sure I over cater, so that Carol, Val and all the nurses have a takeaway afterwards.
