The Bridge to Nowhere
Ever wondered what it's like to be inside a slinky? Well thanks to the engineers that completed the Bridge to Nowhere now you can. The effect being heightened by the snaking design and the shadows on a sunny day.
The bridge was left unfinished in the 1960's was finally completed in 2013. Now renamed the Anderson Bridge it joins the suburban side of Anderson to the city centre crossing the M8 motorway.
There is another bridge to nowhere 300m down the M8. Glasgow seems to have had pretty awful planners in the 1960's.
You'll be glad to know that the city planners have got their act together at last and are in the process of correcting the architectural disasters of the 60's and 70's.
