Still surviving

The withered tree has been dead for a good few years. But it is a local landmark and when my son was small (20-30 years ago) he and his best friend would climb it. But since then the loch has eroded the bank, though the tree roots have protected it, and the tree is no longer as good looking or as climb-able. I would be surprised if it lasts another years: storms or local council chainsaws are likely to end its life behind our house and beside Kilmardinny Loch.
