Field Cross

Have Bliped the occasional "Field Cross" which are usually erected by farmers asking for blessing and protection for the land. This one, close to Ottobeuren, dates back to 1934 and I think was erected by the Family Döring.

Had to go in to town so took the opportunity to try out a new walk. Hilly but very pleasant. In the background is a little snow, but that's it for now. During the walk the sun came out and now it's all uphill towards the weekend - spring is back but we are grateful for the few days of drizzle which the plants badly needed.
