The Runway

As a celebration for the end of their project, Peshkar organised a trip for girls from 2 schools in Oldham who have been working towards their Arts Awards. The Runway by Helen McCarron was on in the library performance space, and was described as a 'fast paced fashion show including dance, drama and movement. The audiences aren’t merely spectators but part of the whirlwind Catwalk experience, the host, the models and journalists will be seeking the audience’s interaction to help negotiate the colourful world of the fashion world.'

It was loads of fun, and from the amount of giggling at the funny bits, I think the girls really engaged with the piece. We projected the animations that the girls had made onto the library wall too, and after the show it was great to get feedback from people about the work.
