Edgar .....
..... looking through boxes.
Today I met up with ZMT for lunch in Leeds and a bit of a blip wander in the afternoon. It's always good fun going out with Z taking photos and seeing how he approaches and interacts with people ( he's such a charmer ).
Z took a few lovely portraits but it felt like a bit of a struggle for me today, I did meet and chat to some really interesting people but don't feel like the portraits I took did them justice. The photo blipped is of Edgar having a look through some of the boxes on Maureen's stall, I see Edgar most weeks and he usually buys a few books and videos from the market.
In the evening myself and Z attended a photo talk event at the Leeds gallery. The talk was on the theme of photographing the identity of Leeds and people attending were invited to take along their photos of Leeds which were compiled in to a book during the evening ( It was still work in progress as the event finished ).
The talk had a number of photography tutors from the Leeds universities and colleges talking as wall as working photographers and gallery staff. The most interesting speaker for me was Peter Mitchell who took photos of Leeds during the 1970s.
It's been a fun day and I've added a few more photos from today here, but today's blip is .....
..... Edgar looking through boxes.
More Leeds Market portraits.
Post Script.
Just a reminder that there is also a blipmeet in Bradford this Sunday evening with a curry and a trip to the Cinema to watch the street photography documentary film, Everybody Street. Details here.
