Currently on the northern fringe of Doha but soon to be downtown given the pace at which this city is growing! This area is already part of a district called Doha Festival City. In 2010 the population of Qatar was 1 million. Today it is 2.2 million . (4.4 million in 2018? 8.8 million in 2022? Suspect those might well be very conservative estimates?!)

We did not buy anything here today as we mistimed our arrival to coincide with the hour's closure for Friday Prayers. Unlike UK Sunday trading there was no browsing so the shop, having opened at 1000 closed completely at 1130. The cafeteria however remained open .
