Church BBQ

One of our Church Elders has recently moved to a house in the country about four miles from the village. For our annual BBQ we decided we would have it at his house and we would walk to it. Older folk got a lift in the minibus. Here we are waiting for the hamburgers, enjoying the sunshine and they were well worth waiting for. This was followed by strawberries and cream, trifles and gateau.
I was admiring our hosts crop of blackcurrants and as he and his wife are going off to their sons wedding in Poland on Thursday, he asked if I would like to do a bit of berry picking when they are away and put them in his freezer. How could I refuse. Watch out for next weeks blip.
