Heading into summer

Another long day staring at a computer screen, but I took a break for a quick outing in a test car, to do a set of photos before it was collected this afternoon. It's the new Audi A3 Cabriolet, if you're wondering.

The sun came out briefly, as if in acknowledgement that I was in a convertible with the top down. Brrr, it wasn't really convertible weather, except that today's modern drop-tops are versatile all year with their quick electric hood operation, efficient heaters and heated seats. Some even pump warm air out from under the headrest at your neck and shoulders.

Seeing the car open to the sky and pointing down the lane towards the fields, it made me relish the thought of summer ahead. The clocks go forward this weekend, hooray. We'll lose an hour of sleep, but we'll emerge on Sunday morning into summer. Hopefully.
