Bent but not broken

Been meaning to photograph these eye-catching trees for a while. They are located on the other side of the bypass going around Linton.

As I walked closer I realised what has caused the trees to bend over in such a peculiar way; the ground is absolutely sodden, and I couldn't get very close at all in just my walking boots.

You can see that the trees are still very much alive as they are sprouting new branches going straight up to the sky.... large

I know a few people for whom life has been pretty tough lately and I look at those trees and know that even when things seem hopeless....extraordinary things do happen.
