if you go down to the woods today......

....no need to go in disguise. No teddy-bears' picnic today, it was a bit too cold. I drove to Crawfordsburn Country Park after school today, both to take some photos and to get some 'head space'.

I took a few 'macro' shots of individual wood anemones, which I liked, but in the end decided to blip this nice group of them. I like the blurred detritus in the background.

It has been an intensely busy week, with a lot of 'extra-curricular' stuff to organise as well as teaching my timetabled classes. We have some pupils coming over to visit us from a partner school in the USA and I have been planning their itinerary. Our own pupils will be hosting the American students and they are getting really excited about having a new family member for a week!

Tomorrow our chums H and D are visiting with their new camper van. They are friends of long-standing, from university days, and now live in Chester. I am so looking forward to seeing their new wheels! That has a different connotation when you've retired .......
