Myddleton Water, Amwell
On a seven mile walk today, came across the 400 year Commemorative Plaque to Hugh Myddleton who was responsible for completing the New River to provide undiluted drinking water for London. The fresh water eventually flowed from the springs in Amwell into the New River Head, Islington on 29 September 1613
