Shock and Horror

Today was truly horrific. We visited Auschwitz. Walking through the camp and seeing the sub-human conditions that so many people were forced to live in before being murdered really brought home the horror of that period. In many ways it was too much to absorb.

I have therefore included a photograph taken in the evening while walking home after our evening meal. There is something quite serene about the lone busker.
