"High tech" science

The moment I have been working towards almost for a year: putting all the puzzle pieces together. I sequenced the samples 'blind': not knowing which was which and now I am combining the results with the actual data from the field. Quick conclusion: I might be dealing with more than 2 species of aphids (the 'clades' in the tree) and they do not seem to be specialized to one species of ants (the colors). A milestone! Next step: figuring out what bacteria these animals harbour!
