Alternative art

The Royal Scottish Academy's annual exhibition opened today. It's the customary mix of contemporary paintings, sculpture, printmaking, photography and installation art. This year there's a particular emphasis on film, and scottish art involving moving images.

As usual, most of the art works are available to buy. Of the exhibits shown here, the one my uncanny instinct tells me these visitors are least likely to fork out £800 for is -
