They are back!

There is a lot of coupling going on out there. A pair of blackbirds are spending a lot of time together near the top of the log stack while some wagtails have been looking at lower storeys in the same stack. A couple of collared doves occupy a branch on the copper beech each morning. It must be spring!

This morning, we were delighted to welcome back a couple of great tits to Ellen's sculpture. They made a nest in one of the pieces last year and we watched as they went through the process of home building and feeding. It looks as though they are checking out this very des res for occupation this year. They will be most welcome.
