GEORGE

Our bicycles took George and I from Grangemouth and Maddiston to Slamannan to Caldercruix to Blackridge to California and eventually, back home, a round trip for me of 34 miles and 2000ft of climbing. We stopped at Airdrie Angling Club at the side of Hillend Reservoir for a coffee and a pie. The pies are baked by a local baker in Airdrie and have actually won an award. They tasted delicious. Back on the bikes to our next stop, George's favourite place, just north of Blackridge. This is himself having yet another cup of tea. It was cold and windy but what a great day's cycling!
