New wheels (well, summer tyres)

Last year I drove back to NL from England in the most horrendous conditions. Whilst the weather was still okay in Kent, it turns out northern France was in a blizzard.

I had a large 2 wheel car with a high centre of gravity. I had 2 children in the back. It was dark. The journey started badly when I got stuck on the slope up from the channel tunnel. We did 30km an hour all the way through to Antwerp. Every few km I saw another accident.

So this year it wasn't going to happen! 4wd and winter tyres. Which was very reassuring when you have a son who MUST go to hospital if his fever tops 38.5. And winter never happened. 6 years we've been here and every winter has been cold and snowy. Except the one we prepared for. Typical innit?

But now we have the summer tyres and pretty wheels.
