SP by the River Tyne
What a busy day, wandered to the quayside where I got blipped with the famous Tyne bridges behind me. Then to the Baltic Exchange (centre for contemporary arts, housed in the old Rank flour mill), where people were zip wiring over the Tyne to raise money for the Stroke Association. After that off to the Sage, where loads of kids orchestras were entertaining the crowds (some had obviously practised more than others!).
After that a little wander to have lunch in the Tyneside Cinema, before hopping on the Metro and heading out to Tynemouth. Tynemouth is a really pretty coastal down, but boy, it was cold and misty. After spending about an hour there, including a trip to the local library to check out a book sale, headed back into town for some Frankie and Benny's before heading back to the hotel.
I have to say, Newcastle is a great place for a weekend, with so much to look at and do.
Hope everyone has had a good Saturday.
