Build it and they will come

Hopefully, this also applies if you buy it.
My dad always built and put bird houses up when I was a kid, and still does, but for some reason this is my first. It's probably due to worrying about all the rules: what tree, how high, which direction, proper opening, predators, etc. Then my dad told me to just put it up, something will live in it. When I said I was worried about doing something wrong and putting a bird family in danger, he just shrugged and said "nature." So here we go.
