A rainy day
Woke up this morning to the rain pattering on the window but the ducks greeting me for their breakfast was a lovely sight. As I've recently posted a picture of them thought I'd stick with this one today.
The bird table was bereft of food scraps but the hanging feeders were at least all full, ready and waiting for the little tits, robins and nuthatches to help themselves. We often get spotted woodpeckers on it too but haven't see any recently. Plenty of parakeets and pigeons though. Fortunately the squirrels have given up with my feeder as we have an anti squirrel device on it......and rather effective it is too!
The bird table however is a different matter. Food once put up very rarely lasts more than a day as it is so accessible. (The fat blocks seem to fare much better) If you look hard enough there is plenty of wildlife to see out there in our own gardens. Who need a safari anyway???
