Angkor Wat

It's 4.30 am and were up and getting another one off the bucket list!!! We are going to Angkor Wat to watch sunrise over the temples. This place is just swarming with tourists trying to get an amazing picture of Angkor and it's like a fight between people. We stood and watched sunrise which was really nice but the amount of tourists is very off putting so we just jumped in our Tuk Tuk and headed for the next temple. It was good walking around these temple complexes which are absolutely massive without any other tourists. The sheer scale of the temples and the fact they were built over 800 years ago just boggle my mind.

After a while exploring we moved onto the next temple that was made famous in the movie "Tomb Raider". This place is really cool as they haven't tried to rebuild it, which means there are trees growing out of the walls. We had heard from other people that you need a few days to see the temples which I think is a load of rubbish unless your a hardcore temple lover!!! There are many more temples to see in the area but this was enough for us and so we went back to the hostel to chill.

In the late afternoon we decided to go out for some Mexican food and a couple of cocktails (first drink for nearly 3 weeks). It was absolutely delicious but the burrito was not "as big as your face". After dinner we headed to the Cambodian circus with no clue what we were getting into.

The circus takes part in a small tent with maybe another 100 people watching in anticipation as to what's going to happen.I have never seen a show like this in my life, it was a music, dance, acrobat, acting and just general craziness show. The whole show is performed by members of a free(funded by the circus) university that helps deprived kids study performing arts. By the end of the show everyone's clapping and really getting involved in what was happening. It was an unusually amazing show and was a great end to a fantastic day.
