Looking Out From In

There were three things I wanted to do today: take a pie baking class at an interesting place up the coast called Pie Ranch, attend the Hindu Holi Festival at our downtown museum, and hike a new trail in south county. Instead I sat by the fire and spent a little time trying to figure out how to blip without getting wet in the steady downpour. As a bonus, I discovered my camera has a setting called "Glass Through", which is handy but infuses everything with very lurid color.

The versatile MrS spent the day preparing a fantastic Indian meal--spicy fragrant chicken, daal and homemade naan. My goodness, that is a good way to feel cozy on a dark day.
