On the way to Westport

We headed to Westport this morning for a day off the farm. We went as far as Granity at one end, and Tauranga Bay, Cape Foulwind, at the other end.

We had lunch at The Bay House Cafe at Tauranga Bay. It was delicious and I highly recommend it. We would have loved to have walked to see the seal colony, but my leg wasn't up to the challenge of the walk.

After lunch we headed back into Westport to get groceries. I took this photo out the window of our moving car - you can see the motion blur on the bridge rails. This is the Buller River. Not far from here it meets the Tasman Sea.

Back home at 5pm, so Farmerboy could go and feed out before milking tonight. It's been a good day out.
