The Independence Day

Today is Finland´s 92th Independence Day. In the evening a gala reception is held for approximately 2000 invited guests at the Precidential Palace. The event is broadcasted on national television. Each year close to two million Finns tune in to watch Finnish dignitaries celebrate the country´s independence. The population of Finland numbers some 5,3 million.
