A day at Stobo...
On Thursday afternoon, out of the blue, I received a text from a good friend A. inviting me to go to Stobo with her today. Her friend from England wasn't able to come so would I like to join her instead? What a lovely surprise!
So this morning, having set the alarm, I was off to Peeblesshire at 07.45 for a day of pampering and relaxation. A's timing was perefct, and we arrived at 09.00 am on the dot, that being the earliest time we could check in. We went for a swim in the beautiful 25m ozone swimming pool with views over the rolling countryside outside. The stresses of the week began falling away immediately...
We then headed for the giant hydrospa followed by the crystal steam room before changing and heading for our first treatment, a full body massage. That was lovely - a full hour of being pummeled and pampered! Chilled and chatted over a few glasses of cold water, then headed for a meditation class which was also extremely relaxing. By this time we were feeling pretty laid back. After the class it was time for lunch. Healthy option choices were optional, but I chose those for first two courses then indulged with vanilla pannacotta for dessert, which was just lovely. Then off for a facial...
After the facial we relaxed in the conservatory and decided we would like something nice to drink. Alcohol was on offer, but we were in the mood for something different and healthy. Stobo had the very thing... a range of delicious and exotic green teas with flowers inside. The range is called "Flora". This is the greentea with marigold flower and coconut, which was just delicious!
We had a lovely day! It was such an unexpected treat and a lovely way to relax after what has been a particulary busy and stressful few weeks... Thank you, A! x
