Snake's Head Fritillary

I have a pot in the garden with these in and forget they are there until the plant emerges in Spring.

They're just starting to flower so I thought I'd get a shot. I'm off to the Lakes this afternoon for a week's photography holiday with John Gravett and about 7 others. Just a bit excited!!

The chances are that a lily beetle will get to the flowers before I get back next weekend. Not as sharp as I'd like, a little too windy.
