Black Ice

Just an illusion... it's the crystallization of morning dew. I was getting ready to head out to breakfast with a girlfriend of mine when I noticed the windshield of my car covered in snowflake-like crystals. Instead of getting an ice scraper and removing them I reached for my camera, found my focal point and decided that it would add more depth if I were to face towards the morning light so to give the illusion of black ice. It's not been edited that way, it was just taken facing the morning light so against the white they appear to be darker than they actually were.
