Lucky..

me!! Eldest daughter has come home for a few days and greeted me with a lovely book and a bunch of these stunning deep purple tulips. I couldn't resist taking a photo of them to share.

Heavenly day.. we had a slow start to the day then finally cleared some stuff up in the garden and burnt the enormous pile of hedge trimmings (a pyromaniacs idea of a treat!).. it is a great relief to have got rid of that!! We might even have a barbecue this evening as the warmth outside is just wonderful..
