Which came first?

Today was the annual American Women's Club Düsseldorf Easter egg hunt.

I know Easter isn't this weekend, but from next Friday the schools start to break up & people go away, so for maximum ticket sales satisfaction we planned it for today...

The forecast was perfect, dry & sunny & warm, I hung around just long enough to 'hide' a few hundred eggs before skedaddling* to go prepare for the ceremonial 'angrillen**'.

I love summer.


* not quite sure about the spelling there...2,3 or 4 d's...
** angrillen - to start the bbq-ing season. Makes you wonder doesn't it, the English language has more words than the German (trust me, go on, Google it, I have) but they have a verb for the cracking open of the BBQ for the first time in the year...madness.
