Life In Wales

Mont Cassel

We woke up to glorious blue skies again today, and the temperature got to 22 degrees! We sat outside a bar in the town square and had breakfast before going for a walk in the park again. Everywhere was really colourful as there were so many tulips and primroses, and the Magnolia trees were all in bloom - it was beautiful.

We then headed to Mont Cassel a hilltop town which was the headquarters of Marshal Foch in the First World War. From the top of the hill there are extensive views and there's a monument of Marshal Foch on his horse, together with this 18th century working windmill.

We walked down into the town of Cassel and sat and had a drink, enjoying the last bit of sun before we had to head home. I don't think any of us wanted to leave, as it's been a really lovely weekend but at least it's close enough for overnight visits.

Anyway, we had a good journey, have unpacked and are now watching the Grand Prix. We're planning a relaxing night as I'm going back into work tomorrow, and will hand my notice in. I'm not looking forward to telling them, but I'll be glad when it's done!

Happy Mother's Day to all British blip mums, I hope you've been spoilt and have had a lovely day! Here are my gorgeous girls :-)
