Perfect Weekend
Despite Auld Reekie doing its best to live up to it's name and hiding some of it's most famous landmarks under a blanket of fog it was rather nice to wake in the city this morning and walk through the quiet street to the station to return home.
I have had the most wonderfully relaxing weekend - it felt like an awfully long time since D and I had spent time together, just having a good time, so my wonderful husband utilised two gifts we'd received for Christmas (thank you Fifi and Lyall, Mum and Dad - I think other people were also trying to tell us it was about time we went out!) and a night away in Edinburgh was arranged. My lovely Mum enjoys having the children to stay and part of her gift was that the children would also have a night away at Gran and Grandads. Dog dropped at the kennels, where a further five beagles were boarding so she was in for a fun time, children collected by Gran and Grandad, we made our way into Edinburgh.
Afternoon tea, the theatre followed by Jamies Italian and I was still up past midnight supping champagne. Home to Mothers Day gifts from Ky and Josh, huge bum wiggles from Coco, spent some time with my Mum and Ky even made dinner. Unfortunately this has been just too much excitment for one weekend and I fear I maybe in my bed before the children but it has been worth it. Thank you to D and everyone else who made this such a fantastic weekend. x
