Mother's Day

A quiet day for us. Picked BB up from beavers sleepover at lunchtime - I don’t think there was much sleeping though. He was exhausted. First thing he said when we got in the car was, “can I have a donut from Greggs?” He likes a plain ring donut – but alas it was not to be on a Sunday.

Second thing was, “as we are near Edinburgh, can we go for spaghetti and meatballs?” This resulted in an impromptu trip to Vittorio’s on George IV Bridge (another of his favourite places) for lunch. Very nice – though I felt rather underdressed in my gardening jeans and sweatshirt. He fell asleep in the car and slept soundly on the sofa all afternoon. Being a chilly and foggy day – sleeping on the sofa was a good option.

It’s nice to have light evenings again (albeit foggy) - even if we did lose an hour in bed.

We passed Greyfriars Bobby on our way to and from lunch.

PS - two new badges gained are waiting to be sewn on, and he came back with someone else's trainers on -a size and a half too big! - and an extra jumper in his bag which was identical to his!!
