Magnolia

The word Magnolia has all sorts of connotations - the main ones for me are the bland colour you are supposed to paint your was if you want to sell your house, and then there are these beautiful furry buds that develop into those beautiful butterfly-like flowers.

This is today's attempt at a macro - managed to steady the hands a bit more today AND use the viewfinder - something I have always found really difficult as i was never able to shut one eye by itself! At 59 I appear to have mastered that!

Lovely lovely day with all this extra light at the end of it.

So pleased to be able to spend the day with my Mom.
