Pontypool Canal & Folly Walk

Today is Mothering Sunday, and the first of my wife's two days off. As normal, we try and fit a walk in. Today, the daughter wanted to accompany us with her dog, Milo. We decided on a 6 mile walk a few minutes drive from her house. It was a walk she had not done before. How often do you hear of people not doing things on their doorstep?

It started from Pontypool Park up to the Folly Tower ( pic here) and then along the ridge, down a Roman Road to the canal towpath to return to the start.

On the towpath I took the blip foto. It reminds me of a picture of mountain cottage that you so often see.
