surprise celebrations

2 things today: mothers day and the Edinburgh Derby. Not exactly compatible but one can try.

There was I, thinking this time next year, I'll be revelling in mother's day gifts. then, a knock at the door - flowers for me. With no name on the card. Just the message "happy mothers day, mum-to-be". So there it was, the mystery for today.

Edinburgh derby. The first bit of football I've watched in a while. Decided just to watch from the comfort of our sofa. Enjoyable. 2-0 to the jambos.

And the flowers? My dad later owned up. What a sweetie.
