Veggie-fest!

This weekend was our last free weekend until October. After today, we have work things on every weekend until then. I decided to make the most it by taking an impromptu day off!

Decided to make a veggie mezze tonight for dinner so spent most of the morning happily pottering around in the kitchen making various pates and salads. Mr M and I went for a walk in the afternoon and then home for my lovingly prepared dinner! (..Make the most of it Mr M.. it's going to be microwave dinners and no food in the house from here-on-in!)

For our mezze-fest we had:

Bulgar wheat salad
Lentil vinaigrette
Carrot salad
Hummous
Walnut pate
Aubergine pate
Home made rosemary foccacia
..and everyone's favourite.. fried haloumi!

And to wash it all down - pomegranate and rose cordial (which, I can thoroughly recommend if you like rose-flavoured things!)
