The Bare Necessities

After spending breakfast with the orang-utans I was planning to blip a beautiful elderly man of the forest tucking into a breakfast of bananas. But then we went to the recently opened Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre.

Sun bears are the smallest and least known members of the bear species. Their populations are rapidly diminishing in Southeast Asia. Habitats are being destroyed by deforestation and sun bears are being brutally killed for commercial exploitation. In competition with elephants and orang-utans for funding and donations sun bears need all the publicity they can get!

The Animals of the planet are in desperate peril. Without free animal life I believe we will lose the spiritual equivalent of oxygen.
