Gather Peace

This is my Djembe...I bought it from a man who new the man in Africa who made it..the base is from a single piece of wood and hand carved...the skin is goat from the village of the maker...when I chose this drum, I felt somehow I'd known the goat...yep, pretty strange...this drum...this tree...this goat...have brought me great comfort in the past few years...tonight I decided to see if the word had a special meaning, and it does...the name Djembe comes from the saying
"Anke dje Anke be" meaning " everyone gather together in peace"...dje means gather...be means...peace
