Happy 90, Dad!

On March 30, 1924 my Dad, Donald Anthony Theriault, was born in Westbrook, Maine, to Canadian immigrants. He was a gentle and patient man who loved his family and was an excellent contractor/ carpenter. He loved their home on Frye Island and his friends in Cape Coral, FL. Dad was a worker! I remember him coming home and sleeping in his chair every night, or awaking before sunrise to work in his office or the barn. We did some traveling, going to New York to see relatives at least twice a year, trips to FL to visit Meme and Pepe, and Canada to visit our cousins. In 199o we were told that Dad had Pancreatic Cancer. He made it through surgery and lived for 7 years, a medical marvel for then! His end was at Maine Medical Center, with all of us with him. Cancer had consumed his body.

My Dad gave me my strength, my perseverance, my work ethic and my dedication to family and friends. He is with me each and every day, in my heart and in my head with each decision I make. Happy 90th Birthday, Dad. I love you!
