The first fully bloomed one in our backyard ... oh! what a joy!

To be honest, an early blip leaves me time for other things and saves me some diesel, too.

In the meantime, here's a video about cows happy to be let out into the meadow after being forced to stay several months inside. According to someone, though, and I quote: " It's usually caused by an electrical earth fault, difficult to explain but I'll try. The earth spike from a building sometimes leaks current (measured in amps) and it spreads out on the surface like the ripples of a stone hitting water. The distance from the cows back legs and its front legs when touching that surface has a voltage measurement, and, combined with the current, it is actually a nasty electrical shock for the poor things. This is the cause in most cases where you see cows jumping around and that is the truth. I don't know what all that means in Dutch though."

Now that explanation might be true ... but just try explaining that to the happy cows, as well as to the equally happy farmers. What I know is that when they frolic outside, they get the chance to decide who's going to be the alpha female. In short, it's the chance to strut your stuff and show everyone what a big wonderful beautiful bossy cow you are and that you've got what it takes. And what does that mean for the Dutch? Yup, you guessed it ... milk so yummy China wants to import 2 billion euros worth a year. And the cheese! Gouda! Edam! Leerdam! Yeah!
