I was passing the local florist this morning and saw she was selling pots of scabious. So, naturally I had to buy one to put in my new garden.

I love this plant in all its manifestations - the young flower heads like this, the blousey petals when it is in full bloom and then as it fades they take on a lovely sepia tint. I suppose that means that you have to expect more photos of this plant.
