Stamps

Does any one use stamps any more? The only things I get at home with stamps on are birthday cards, etc and that's more or less the only thing I use stamps for myself.

We don't generate enough outgoing post at work to justify a franking machine so we still use them but, again, most incoming post is 'stamp free'.

And I sometimes wonder if younger people even know what stamps are. Over the years we have had a number of school students on work experience, or unemployed college leavers who come to us as volunteers and, without exception, we have to explain to them the difference between first and second class and even tell them where to stick them. So to speak...

For a generation brought up on e-mail, texts and tweets maybe stamps are obsolete?
