Ladybower (from Lanehead)

A cracking day out walking in the Peak District with my walking partner, Ross. Unfortunately our trips out have been much to infrequent recently but we took the opportunity to stretch our legs, firstly along the side of the reservoir and then along Derwent Edge.

This was just after we started to climb out of the valley towards a cairn quaintly called Lost Lad. I'm certainly not as fit as I used to be and was puffing and sweating as soon as we started to climb. Hopefully the image indicates the misty conditions we were walking in. They didn't clear all day. The 10 miles we covered was topped off with a pint at the Ladybower Inn. Can't be bad!
