Straight and narrow

This week's challenge is Vertical, and I knew instantly that one possible banker would be these trees. I'm always amazed at how straight their trunks are and how tall they are. Mono seemed to work best to emphasize the vertical lines.
Had a lovely walk in the sunshine - had to take off my jacket, it was so warm. Then I spent about an hour messing about in the garden beds, not doing anything useful, just getting some dirt under my nails. I noticed that the clematis is starting to sprout and there's a bit of green around the hostas, so maybe - just maybe - spring is starting to happen. Our daffodils haven't opened yet, but the skunk cabbage is flourishing down in the forest!
